From Inspiration to Reality

We love the commencement of the design process.  When we meet with a client to begin brainstorming event style, we look at a variety of medians before coming up with the final look.  The client’s clothing style, favorite travel spots, their personal or hopeful home style, all in addition to inspiration photos pulled from wedding magazines & blogs.  It so much fun to go back and look at the original inspiration when receiving event pictures back from the actual event set.  Here, we have a very specific style a bride was inspired by and you can see how beautifully it came to fruition.  Although this bride did not realize how focused her look was with the pictures pinned, when she stood back and saw them again through our designer eyes, she realized her seaside coastal style.  This was, of course, a result of her upbringing of being emerged in the activities surrounding the sea, from sailing to deep sea diving and everything in between. The look was subtle with respect to the chosen venue’s grand southern, elegant ambiance, but the overall feel most certainly acquired that coastal influence. The color palette exhibiting a fresh array of soft tropical hues. Corals and peach, an array of blues and greens in all tones and tints, with touches of buttery ivory, and deep pink created the basis for the look. We utilized a variety of natural textures including white coral & succulents, drift wood and Manzanita enhanced centerpieces, organic, woven lounge pieces, and a natural grain bookshelf displaying objects d’art in an upscale beach swept motif.

Summer’s End is Near…

And we are reminiscing to where it all began with Laura & Steve’s intimate Ocean Course affair.  From a sweet ceremony overlooking the soft waves of the Atlantic, to an alfresco pre dinner cocktail lounge on the lawn, a formal seated dinner in the beautiful dining room and back outside to for dancing under the starts.  What more could this adorable New York couple want from their Kiawah Island style nuptials.  Thanks to Hyer Images for capturing it all!

Corporate Event Design

Loluma knows that corporate events are so much more than parties.  Rife with strategy, objectives, and long-term vision, it truly takes someone with a business oriented mind to extract and execute an event that will go beyond the color of the tablecloths and really reach the reason why everyone is gathered together. We take the time to listen to our clients, and understand their goals and vision.  We take the average sales meeting and turn it into an engaging experience that reinvigorates employees.  We take an incentive trip or awards program and inject a sense of community and accomplishment among those being honored. With Loluma as your corporate event design consultant, the value you receive is two-fold: a show-stopping event design that will be a source of inspiration for guests and a strategic partner who will act as an extension of your team ensuring all of your objectives and goals are truly reached.

Perfect Pallets & Autumnal Accents

In the depths of the summer sun and heat, we are all grateful to be dreaming of comfortable temperatures and low humidity along side our fall clients.  Here at Loluma, we have stocked up on the perfect autumnal-style pieces for your upcoming fall events.  Our new lounge is rich in color and texture, from the velvet tufted indigo arm chairs, to the cream and chocolate houndstooth chairs and tobacco leather, industrial pipe frame love seats.  They are great to mix and match and also pair well with a multitude of other pieces in our inventory.

Our production designers and carpenters have also been hard at work fabricating one-of-a-kind pieces to add a unique twist that will be sure to have your guests talking.  Custom woven fabric strip drum shades can be used alone or paired with a number of Loluma fixtures as well as our new hand crafted oyster shell chandeliers, which come in two sizes and shapes.

Speaking of unique, check out our handcrafted pallet collection.  Bars with zinc wrapped tops and matching back bar shelving can be used in a multitude of configurations from a four sided center room focal point, to a double, triple or quadruple linear station.  Our mahogany stained pallet coffee tables tie it all together.
