Between their seated dinner, lavishly adorned with gold candelabras and lush floral consisting of lavender, cream and peach roses, lavender stock, tulips, and sophisticated dripping ivy and the exquisite lighting inside and out, Hibernian Hall was quite a scene.

This past weekend we teamed up with Chelsye of Intrigue Events for a Sunday wedding at one of our favorite venues – the Rice Mill. From a gorgeously detailed wedding cake by Jim Smeal to the beautiful lush flowers in shades of purple, blue and pink made by our very own Leesa Phipps, this wedding was definitely a sight to see. Despite the yucky weather we had on Sunday morning, Loluma braved the rain and wind to deliver another stunning wedding for the spring season. PANTONE 17-564 – Emerald

Every year the design and fashion industries come together to choose a new “it” color for the year. Following in the tracks of Tangerine Tango from last year, Emerald is the new color that will soon be popping up everywhere in 2013. In the wedding world, we always love to see how brides incorporate the popular color of year into their own wedding. There are numerous unique details and opportunities in which a bride can chose to draw Emerald into her wedding such as bridesmaid dresses, floral arrangements, jewelry, wedding cakes and even her shoes!

A favorite is touching on this bold and elegant color on the wedding invites.

 

Emerald has a tough path to follow after the popular Tangerine Tango, but we can not wait to see what this beautiful color has in store for 2013!

]]> http://loluma.com/pantone-color-of-the-year-2013/feed/ 0 {Jen & Peter} 10.13.12 http://loluma.com/jen-peter-10-13-12/ http://loluma.com/jen-peter-10-13-12/#comments Wed, 09 Jan 2013 18:40:32 +0000 loluma http://loluma.com/?p=1538 Evan Laettner really outdid himself with the photos of this wedding.  I am slightly obsessed, especially with the fun shoot this bridal party did at Bin 152 following the ceremony.  Her style was so classic yet clean and modern, the perfect style for a reception at McCradys.  I wasn’t sure about a jazz band for the reception, but Kevin Hackler and friends were classy, fun and really got the crowd moving.  I have had several other weddings recently opt for jazz music at the reception and I am definitely sold on its effectiveness for the right setting and crowd.
